Can u redeposit a check somebody gave u

Somebody bought something from me and they gave me a check and i went to my bank to have it deposited and i took too long shippin them what i was suppose to we had a miss understanding but everything is cool now we worked everything out and he wants me to have the check redeposited but ive already gave my bank the check will the still be able to deposited it again?

If the check was processed once and the person stopped payment on it you need them to remove that.

If you gave the check to your bank, and now need it to be re deposited then I presume the check was returned? If so, it can be redeposited again but only if the bank hasn't stamped on it do not resubmit.

~~If the check was returned as a stop payment then you have to make sure the person canceled the stop pay, then once they have said it's done, call the issuing bank and be sure it will clear BEFORE you ship!~~
