  1. Basically yes, but you need to heat the oil to break it down to make it more like diesel. That is basically what biodiesel is.

  2. go to greasecar.com

they will show you how to filter it, modify your vehicle and even sell you a kit to retrofit your vehicle.

Biodiesel can deteriorate hoses and seals more rapidly than conventional fuel, so a secondary system is a good idea.

  3. the first deisel engine ran off peanut oil

  4. A diesel will burn all oils including lube oil. Do not use lighter oils Like gasoline as the explosion can damage the motor. The oil must be filtered or u will mess up your injectors.

  5. Yup, it's true.  See: http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/Savi...

  6. to tell you the truth, i have no clue, i don't understand how that would work, i really don't pay that much attention to them kind of things

  7. Not just french fry oil. See the article below:

Chocolate Fuel Powers Car From Britain to Timbuktu

Two men have taken discarded chocolate (yes, apparently some gets thrown away), turned it into fuel, and have pledged to use it on a the world's first carbon-negative" trip, from Britain to Timbuktu.

With three tons of old chocolate, the two plan to travel 4,473 miles on 396 gallons of fuel. They expect to produce less carbon than they would have staying at home, in part by having equipped their trips by visiting the scrap yard, rather than buying equipment anew. But finding a use for the "misshapen Easter eggs," as the Monitor put it, that go to the landfill instead of the candy store is the big emissions saver. Landfills emit methane, a greenhouse gas more than 20 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

  8. We'll if it worked on Mythbusters and you know how to do it right. It's more likely to work. Good Luck!

  9. With some modifcations, you can do it and it really is true.

  10. yah mythbusters did it but, yes ive heard from several people that it very well is possible problem is the oil needs to be filterd and i think most deisel's need a conversion kit which can run up to a couple gran.

    there you go

  11. yes BUT you have to change the entire fuel system there can be no rubber this will melt spewing fuel everywhere it has to be changed to hdpe (high density polyethylene) also commercial bio-diesel is 80% vegetable oil 20% ethanol this allows it to flow better. there are systems avalible from summit racing and jeggs that use a preheater to thin the oil but also need regular diesel to start the engine.
