  1. You can take a real ship like Titanic by taking one by the Cunard line. They have them leaving from NY. The prices I have found start around $1500 for the cheapest room for a 5 night voyage to England. Remember however, on a ship like this, the same rules apply as did on the Titanic. You are situated on the ship according to class and depending on your class will equal what you can do and where you can go.

Cunard does this run all year round. You could go anytime.

You can also take a cruise ship. They leave from various ports as well. Some of those ports include Miami, and Galveston. They are actually "repositioning" cruises because the cruise lines need to move their ships from the Caribbean to Europe for the changing seasons. Often you can get GREAT deals (like $500 for an inside room on a 12 night voyage).  Because these are repositioning cruises, they only occur in April/May and then in Oct/Nov. when they come back to the US.

  3. but of course! i just went on my third transatlantic crossing this past summer on the Queen Mary 2 and it was lovely! go to www.cunard.com and click on Queen Mary 2 under "our ships". the QM2 does transatlantic crossings all the time. It is a really lovely ship too. it is massive! much bigger than the titanic. you get absoluely spoiled on the ship for the whole trip. i've gone in britannia and princess grill and they are both so nice. Cunard also has a new ship coming soon called the Queen Victoria but i don't know if it will do transatlantics in addition to cruises.
