  1. Yes, I think you can, but it would be nowhere near the equator. you would be holing to a "circumfrance" just above Antarctica and below the Austrailia, The tip of Africa and the tip of South America. So in reality, it is more like sailing around a planet slightly larger than the moon. BTW...Those are some insanely rough seas.   -jason

  2. Yes, you can find an uninterrupted line of latitude between New Zealand and Antarctica.

  3. try to look on a globe or  try google earth and see the results

  4. NO

  5. Yes, in the Southern Ocean.

  6. No. To me, "around the world in a straight line" (meaning a circle) means more than circling Antarctica. Otherwise any circle (no matter how small) could count as going "around the world." If circling around the pole is what's important, wait until global warming melts the north polar icecap and go up north and run a small circle around the north pole.

  7. i don't think so

  8. Technically the answer is yes ,but it would have to be done in the South Atlantic Ocean circumnavigating Antarctica in summer

  9. Yes it is possible. The Southern Ocean that surrounds  Antarctica And lies between it and the bottom of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina.

It is the only ocean in the world where storms can and do rage around the globe uninterupted by land so therefore making it some of the most treacherous waters in the world.
