Can u still have a bleed if ur pg?

about 3 wks ago i missed my period by 2 wks i had a 2 hpt and they said i was pg then i went to a walk in centre an it said i wasnt. then a few days later i had my pmt. so i was thinking can i bleed even if i am pg??? plz help.

well this is where i get annoyed coz people say you can have a PERIOD when your pregnant but you CAN NOT.

you can however BLEED thou but its NOT a period.

i know this for a FACT have been told by quite alot of PROFESSIONALS.

anyway to me by what your are saying i think you may have miscarried but maybe not the best thing to do is go to your gp as soon as possible and tell him what has happend. coz your own gp can give you betta advice than anyone else can on here coz he is a professional

i agree with jade! you cannot have a normal period unless you have a biocarnate uterus. also if you are bleeding and cramping heavily for days i doubt youre still pregnant[if you were] yes some people do SPOT or have light bleeding in the first couple of months when their period was due because of low hormones...but dont listen to those women above having a full blown period throughout pregnancy. please. just because you bleed dont mean youre pregnant. good luck!

of course ppl who always disagree with the whole periods during pregnancy thing get alot of thumbs down...ignorant ppl

Well, I didn't find out I was pregnant with my youngest son until I was 4 1/2 mths gone. 6 mths previously I had been told I couldn't possibly have any more children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason i found out I was pregnant was because I passed out and felt sick - I worked in a dispensary and we had a pg test in a damaged packet that was being binned so I did it out of curiosity - boy was I shocked to find it positive, especially as I had had a normal period and also a mid month spot that I always got around ovulation time.

I carried on having normal periods and mid month spots until I was about 8 mths when they suddenly stopped. I also never gained weight and didn't look pregnant (I carried on wearing my size 10 uniform straight skirt to work until 8mths gone).

I asked the consultantr gynaecologists if it was normal and he said that whilst it wasn't considered 'normal' I certainly wasn't the first case he'd seen or heard of and he'd even delivered a baby froma lady who had no idea she was pregnant because like me she'd had periods and no weight gain but unlike me she'd had no sickness.

My son was perfectly normal but just a very small baby 5lbs when I was allowed to take him home. Incidentally, I have never smoked in my life and have about 1 glass of wine a year so it's not as if I caused him to be small or anything. - My older son was 9lbs 9 1/2 oz!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I would suggest you do is get one of the clearblue or predictor tests that will say pregnant or not pregnant as they are the ones that are the most sensitive to the HCG hormone that your body produces when you ARE pregnant.

Hope you are OK and if you are at all worried then PLEASE go to see your GP who will probably check you over properly & see if they can feel a 'palpable' baby or whether you have miscarried.

jade is very wrong, people can have periods while they are pregnant as its been scientifically proven, all that happens is the pregnancy hormone being released is not strong enough to call the menstrual cycle to stop and most of the time not strong enough to cause ANY symptoms

what may have happened to you is called a chemical pregnancy, its a very early miscarriage, go to your GP who will check you over to make sure there is no fatal tissue left behind

Yes you can bleed threw a pregnancy i had periods i have three children jade is giving you WRONG information when i had my last baby who is 4 months now i seen my doctor because i was bleeding and she SAID you can have a period all the way threw a pregnancy as I did go back to your GP and ask them to check you over and take another pregnancy test i had to take 3 before it came up positive and that was with alot of bleeding i hope everything goes good for you god bless. x*x
