A little pricey, but the best restaurant I've been to in the WORLD has to Guillaume at Bennelong Syndey Opera House.

Keep going  down past the aquaium and  there is another row of restaurants that aren't as busy  as the restaurants  up closer to Darling Harbour. Try Nicks Bar and Grill.

King St Wharf on the city side of Darling Harbour has the cool bars and nighlife. Try "the Loft" for drinks.
