  1. -9. You can rewrite the equation as -14 +5= and it gives -9(negative because 14 is the biggest number and it has the negative sign)


  2. The answer is -9..When subtracting a negative number, change the sign to positive and add....Think of it like degrees on a thermometer...At -14 degrees, if you take away -5 degrees and what do you have...-9 degrees.

  3. I'm a little rusty but i think you do KCC (keep it, change it, change it)

    it will look like this after KCC -14+5=  it should equal -9
