  1. tailors chalk is the best way to mark any fabric that you want to work with, because it can easily be wiped away!!

  2. Yes you usually can.

But you really don't even need to mark it, if you go to a hemming store, just point to the spot where you want it hemmed and they'll do it.

But you can buy fabric pens at lots of places. At fabric stores or sometimes even drug stores.

  3. you could use some ckalk cause its easy to remove with a damp cloth.

  4. Yes, but only if it's a dark color. The graphite from the pencil shows up best on black or white. In between colors you should consider using chalk or conte pencils or even "white" charcoal.

  5. yeah i think u can pencil it will wipe off or be washed out easily

  6. you can use a pencil

you can buy the fabric-marking pen at michael's or any craft store

    BUT... even better...

You can actually fold the edges of the skirt to the desired length and IRON it.  The iron will keep the edges in place and can be used as a guide.  Works every time.

AND... if your in a bind... use double sided tape.  It works awesome with hemlines.  You can also but that at any craft store.
