  1. i aint no expert but i think u shouldn't

  2. do NOT use peroxide..... birds do not clot and peroxide would be really bad as it could make the bird bleed worse.... birds do bleed to death due to their inability to clot.  You need to get styptic powder from your pet store.  If ever your bird bleeds you put the powder on the injury which stops the bleeding.

  3. yes dilute it a little.

  4. just use neosporin. it has the same effect without killing good tissue.

the reason why hydrogen peroxide or alcohol burns is because it kills live tissue in addition to the bacteria.

  5. Do not use hydrogen peroxide on birds, instead use betadine.  Much better for the birdies.

If your bird breaks a nail or beak, best thing to do to stop the bleeding is get some corn flour and generously coat the beak/nail bleeding part.  Then contact your vet.

    =)

  6. Yes, use it full strength, don't dilute it. Do not allow in  the mouth.  Peroxide is to clean the wound, and it will not cause the bird to bleed more than he already is. After the wound is cleaned then use powder styptic or flour to stop the bleeding.  I work with a vet and we use it all the time.  Please read my profile
