  1. Yeah, MX boots are just too stiff for road riding.

  2. Mr Proc has a very good point ( as always ) but the answer is no.

Try changing gear and bending your ankle whilst riding your Gixer in Alp Tech boots.

    Its great fun ....... honest.

  3. Well you could use them but as the others have said they are very stiff boots.  I don't think too many places would be happy with you stepping off your bike and walking into their shop or store in a pair of motocross boots, although one of my sons tends to wear his around the house till he gets in trouble.  I especially get annoyed when he comes in from riding and trudges mud inside.

So the answer is that you could wear them but for getting around on a road bike  but they are really too stiff. I would also think that they would be heavier as well

  4. MX boots will work fine. they are extremely tough and rugged.

  5. You normally ask your questions twice .

once in the motorcycle section (where this should be )

and once in the Motorcycle Racing section (where it should not be )

just because you include the word Motorcross does not make this a motorcycle racing question.

I wondered why you only asked this one once,

    and in the wrong section.

as for the answer. of course you can.

you can wear sandals if you want.

there is no law about what you must wear,

only common sense tells you sandals would be a stupid Idea.

  6. Yeah, its better than shoes.  Your ankles won't like you if you don't wear them and wreck.  You will have a high chance of breaking your ankle.

I would just wear them.  You might have to adjust your shifter but atleast you have something for protection.
