Can unhealthy eating make you throw up blood?

[ETA]  If she's making herself throw up, then bulimia can cause hemorrhaging of your esophagus, especially if she's been doing it for awhile.  She's causing more damage to herself than she knows and needs to stop IMMEDIATELY.

Throwing up blood is EXTREMELY serious!

You should see a doctor ASAP. It may indicate Ulcers or inflammation, but also ingested blood (internal bleeding) and even cancer.

I suggest you visit a doctor as soon as you can, especially if the blood was red, since that indicates that it was fresh. Darker blood (brown) indicates a longer holding period.

Either way, determining the cause is essential.
