Can universal remote control really can control any brands of the DVD p[layer??

My philip dvd remote control broke and cant be repair ...can universal remote control be used?? Any brand also can use?

Yes, a universal remote can be set to absolutely any brand that is registered. When you buy one, it comes with a list of codes that represent each brand of electronics device and you simply input the code and the remote will fuction with that machine.

Sure you can use a universal remote. Any one should work.

Most supply all the remote codes but you might also want to check here in case the universal you buy doesn't list the codes for your Philip.

most universals can work most dvd players just check the package to see if your brandname is covered aand you should be good to go

No problem.  You may not get all the functions but its better than nothing.

Alternative is to get a new DVD player for £30 and save yourself money on not buying a universal remote.
