Can ur eyes be too bad to get lasic eye surgery???

my teacher told me that u couldnt get lasic eye surgery if ur eye sight was like past 300 or sumthing, mine is 525(well since i went 2 the eye doctor last , it changes like crazy) is this true please answer i am freaking out about thisi may never be able to see again(without specks or contacts that is)

  1. They can do amazing things now with eye surgery so don't fret just contact your eye doc and ask him his opinion on it and YES there r cases where this type surgery can not be done


  2. Yes, there are definite limits to Lasik by Rx power, and other reasons why people might not be suitable.

    (apart from consideration of the usual risks)

    -5.25 isn't pressing the limit though, all other things being ok.

    There are alternate surgical techniques for very high Rx's, such as anterior chamber implants ("Insertable contact lenses")  once the eye's Rx has stabilised.

    But with an Rx touching -13.50 in one meridian, I'd have to mark "freaking out" over 5.25 a bit of an overreaction.
