We have a bit of recycled confetti we want to use at a party. Do you know of any ways we can reuse or recycle it later?

  1. pick it up, put it into a balloon.  And blow the balloon up!  Then put it up somewhere about head height! And when you get some muppett (as you always do) thinking it is funny to burst it he/she will get covered!  haha

  2. i think the only way you could re use it would be to pick it all up after. to be brutally honest what little paper you`d pick up would`nt be worth putting out for recycling.

maybe you could hoover up the confetti & put it on the compost heap, the majority of confetti these days is biodegradable.

    enjoy your party!

  3. I make cards, you can use confetti on handmade cards...

  4. Simply sweep it up and place it into a storage container until you have another event which requires confetti.

  5. If you have a hamster, use it for bedding.  Otherwise, throw it away.

  6. confetti is usually already recycled paper. if you really wanted (and if your floor is clean) then i guess you could sweep it up and use it again. but why would you want to do that?

  7. It makes great packing cushion for packages and the such.

  8. We usually sweep up what we can, and just save it for another party. To add more confetti to the mix, snip up  scraps of leftover colored construction paper and recycled aluminum foil, and combine them with the old stuff.

If you are all through partying, and no longer have an use for the confetti ~ you can bottle it up in a recycled plastic water bottle and donate it to a thrift store for someone else to enjoy :)

Another alternative is to coat an empty (but clean) glass jar with glue, roll it in the confetti, then cover the whole thing in decoupage medium for a one-of-a-kind decorative bottle.

Unless the confetti is all paper, it will be difficult to recycle in the bin ~ most of the confetti I've seen is a mix of both paper and foil, which is almost impossible to sort. The best use is simply to keep on using it.

  9. You can reuse it as confetti again or bag it and recycle it (ala paper you've run through the shredder [well, assuming it's paper confetti]).  Also, you could use it as packing filler for shipments, assuming you have any shipments to make...

  10. Unfortunately, the confetti would be dirty and might cause people health problems if you were to reuse it. The best thing to do is to put it in the green waste bin for composting, (unless it contains plastic or foil, when you would have to just discard it). The best option is to ask yourself if you really need confetti, or are you being too consumerist. I have given up confetti as part of my greener lifestyle. In a few years' time, all these unnecessary things will be frowned upon as a waste of resources.

  11. If you already recycle paper all you do is add confetti to the load and recycle as normal.

  12. Do you mean that you have one piece?  If so, a Wool cycle at 30 degrees should be alright.  Take care with the ironing though.  You could really make a mess of it.  There's always the RSPCC.

  13. Use it to send packages; helps take up space.

  14. use it on the compost heap, and later you can add the weding certificate

  15. Well confetti has already been recycled.

Put it in a paper recycling bin!

  16. pick it up.
