  1. yes and so can used trany fluid

  2. Yes up to 20% without heating fuel.Used motor oils and trans fluid up to 10%.

I run 100% with a 2 tank system I built for $320.My oil before injection is 220 degrees.

  3. yes it can

  4. yes, filter it first! 20% max without mod.s

  5. Yes, it can, but you might get further with biodiesel made from the vegetable oil.

  6. DON'T go over 20% without constant heat.

  7. I've heard of this quite often.  A 10% mix of oil and Diesel should work quite well.  I know of a University that's doing this with their used frying oils and trucks.

You will have to filter the oil.  Finer filtering would help.  You'll also probably have to watch your fuel line filter.

  8. Yes just filter it very fine or it will stop up your injectors.

  9. It will work but you would be better to make the used veggie oil into biodiesel by treating it with methanol and lye. Biodiesel will work anywhere you can use #2 fuel oil without modifying the engine.  All you need to do is make sure the fuel lines are not natural rubber because biodiesel will dissolve it.  Biodiesel is a powerful solvent and will loosen any sludge from your fuel tank so an inline fuel filter is a good idea and be prepared for frequent fuel filter changes for the first few thousand miles.

I have been heating my house with homemade biodiesel for 4 winters using an unmodified Beckett oil burner. The first year I went through 7 fuel filters and two nozzles. Since then the system has worked flawlessly.
