Can using PayPal make my credit score go up?

Provided there's enough in the bank to cover my purchases, could it bring my credit score up?

  1. Unless you have the PayPal credit card, just having a PayPal account isn't going to do much to affect or help your credit score.  I believe they also have something called PayPal Credit that can only be used on EBay purchases, but I cannot remember if they report those to the credit agencies.  They give  you a credit limit and if the seller accepts this form of payment you can make payments on your purchase.


  2. No, but Paypal offers a credit program, that does affect your credit score. I was a member of Paypal for about 3 years before they offered it to me.

  3. Paypal isn't credit extension.  It has absolutely no impact on your credit or score.

  4. No, paypal is not a creditor.  It is simply a clearing house for payments.
