Can vanilla bean be purchase at local stores? if yes please tell me where?

i am looking for vanilla bean to make cheese cakes but i can not find it in the super markets

vinnilla bean can be purchesed at most supermarkets. gas stations or quickstops may not have it though.

You r bigger super markets should have it...it is sold in  a jar with the spices, labeled whole vanilla bean....you may have to try a couple of stores, but i'm sure you'll find them!! Good luck, hope the cheesecakes come out great!!!

it's not that common but at some stores, in the spice aisle they'll have it. just look around. they tend to be pricey but worth it :D

btw just some tips,

split the vanilla bean in half and use your knife and run across open half so all the contents come out. thats the vanilla stuff. dont just throw away the bean now! you can put them in your sugar jar and mix it around. over time, it'll ferment and become vanilla sugar. much better and tastier than plain sugar. :)
