  1. Yes, some vegetarians wear fur or leather. It is a personal choice. However, most vegetarians, like myself, don't eat meat because we don't believe in the cruel methods practiced against animals being turned into dinner and clothing.

So, MOST vegetarians don't wear leather or fur, but some do.

  2. you can wear whatever you would like but your being a hypocrite if you do

  3. Fur I think is disgusting, regardless of your dietary position. Most vegetarians I know wear leather becasue it's a 'by-product' of meat. I think it's hypocritical, but I think it's a case of 'out of sight, out of mind' - a piece of meat sitting on your plate is more obvious than a lovely pair of shoes. Silk, I know it's from spiders but I don't know if they have to die for it, so I don't know. I'm vegan, so I don't use anything like that.

  4. Vegetarian is a diet, not a fashion. However, some try to make it into a fashion statement. If you are doing it a moral statements, you might want to reconsider though. However, I'm not going to call you hypocritical.

For example, your fur jacket can be a hand-me-down that would have been trashed. :D

  5. Well Maby not?

  6. i believe NO-ONE shud be able to wear fur. it wud be like skinning a human and putting it on an animal for fashion. absolutely tragic. Shame on all those weirdos wearing fur. Let the animal wear it..it looks betta on them anywayz.

  7. Yes, vegans can too, but vegans don't want to. most vegetarians don't want to either. Veg*nism is a choice, just becuase the are a Veg*n doesn't mean they CAN'T eat meat, they just think ill of it so they don't, aside from the few people that have a food allergy toward meats ( i.e. shellfish)

  8. as long as you don't eat it. However if you are being vegetarian for the moral obligation you feel towards the animals then you may be acting hypocritacly  : (

  9. They can but it would be hypocritical.  The reason be be vegetarian is often due to a protest against the eating of animals due to the way they are treated at farms and slaughterhouses.  The animals are not treated alot better when it comes to leather.  Wool and silk, however, don't necessarily involve the same 'cruel' treatment of the animals so it wouldn't be as bad.  I guess it depends on why someone is a vegetarian.

  10. if youre a hypcrite sure.  but why would you wanna wear a carcus anyway?

  11. It is fully acceptable to wear fur, leather, silk and wool.
