  1. No ways in all means!!!!

Vegetarians can eat fish and they will no longer be vegetarians.

They would rather be in the category of non-vegetarian..

    Cheers

  2. Yes. They are called pescetarians.

  3. No- someone who eats fish and no meat is a pescatarian. There are ample faux seafood alternatives, just google it! =)

  4. i am a vegeterian and i eat fish!!! it is up to you.some vegeterians eat fish and chicken and no red meats and still call them self  vegeterian and i know some of them just beacuse i work in food service it your choes how far you want to go with this!!!

  5. Pescetarians include fish, and another group (I can't recall the name) include eggs.

    A dedicated Vegetarian will not.

I believe you should eat what you like to eat, and don't put labels onto yourself or others.

  6. yes they can eat fish i no many and they do it ,you have to be an extremist not to eat fish

  7. Absolutely not, otherwise they cannot call themselves vegetarians. Some religions allow some meats but not others, this is not vegetarian.

  8. Of course not.  Vegetarians do not eat animals.  That is why they are called VEGetarians.  There is a lot of confusion about this due to people walking around (several examples in some answers you are getting) saying they are vegetarian and eat fish.  None of those so called vegetarians are vegetarians at all.

  9. NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

    is fish a vegetable??? NO!!!!!

IF IT CAN BREATH, VEGETARIANS DO NOT EAT IT!!!!

ugh.... it annoys me so much. if you eat fish you are not a vegeterian. it is an animal therefore you are still an omnivore.

  10. no/

  11. The vegetarianism thing breaks down like this:

Semi-vegetarianism — A diet that excludes certain meats, particularly red meat, but allows the consumption of others in limited amounts.

Pescetarianism — A diet that excludes all meat except fish, shellfish, and crustacea.

Lacto-ovo vegetarian — A diet that excludes all meat and fish, but allows the consumption of eggs and dairy

Lacto vegetarian — A diet that excludes all meat, fish and eggs, but allows the consumption dairy products

Ovo vegetarian — A diet that excludes all meat, fish and dairy products, but allows the consumption of eggs

Vegan — A diet that excludes all meat, fish, eggs, dairy and honey

So no, true vegetarians to not eat fish.

  12. Some people seem to think so.

It doesn't make any sense to me why some people think fish are excluded from the animal kingdom.

  13. NO. VEGETARIANS DO NOT EAT THE FLESH OF AN ANIMAL, BUT DO EAT THE PRODUCT (EGGS, MILK CHEESE ETC).

VEGANS DO NOT EAT THE FLESH OR THE PRODUCT OF AN ANIMAL.

A LESSER KNOWN FACT IS THAT PEOPLE WHO DO EAT THE PRODUCT OF AN ANIMAL AND NOT EAT THE FLESH OF AN ANIMAL -EXCEPT FISH- ARE CALLED PESCETARIANS. THESE PEOPLE ARE LITTERALLY VEGETARIANS WHO EAT FISH BUT THEY HAVE A NAME (AS I'VE JUST SAID).

MANY PEOPLE EAT FISH BECAUSE THEY CONTAIN ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS AND OMEGA 3.

p.s. sorry, iv just notitced i wrote the whole thing in capitals by accident!

  14. not real vegeterians

  15. Technically, they are called pescetarians.

I know a few Catholics who eat fish and consider themselves vegetarians, though - it's a reflection of their religious beliefs, and not of biology.  A fish is definitely an animal, so the vast majority of vegetarians wouldn't consider fish permissible.

  16. No. Vegetarians do not any seafood. Or Gelatin.. or *white meat* or any of that c**p.

  17. Some people who call themselves vegetarian do eat fish.  They are, strictly speaking, considered semi-vegetarian.

  18. vegaterians do not eat anything with a face

  19. Well, it depends.

Most people are full on Vegetarians, and they don't eat meat from animals- fish included.

Some people are different, and eat some fish, like tuna. But normally, no, you aren't really a vegetarian unless you don't eat meat.

    :)

  20. There is a class of Vegetarians called "Demi Vegetarians" who shun red meat and fowl. They eat Plant foods, Fish, Dairy products and eggs.

This is supposed to be very healthy with advantage of Omega 3 fatty acids over Lacto-ovo Vegetarians.

Most of the Vegetarians do not recognize Demi-vegetarians as true vegetarians.

  21. Technically they would be considered a pescetarian.

  22. no.

if you eat fish, but didn't eat any other meat, then you are a pescetarian. (sp?)

  23. no

  24. No, fish are animals.

  25. is a fish a vegetable?NO. I had a friend who claimed to be a vegetarian but she ate chicken. NO NO NO!!! Vegetarians come in several forms--some eat no animal products at all--even milk. Some just don't eat anything that can move on it's own! (walk, swim or fly)

  26. NO. Even if you eat no other form of meat, if you eat fish, you are not a vegetarian! A Pescetarian is someone who eats fish but no other meat forms. (A vegetarian who eats fish)
