  1. If he's in my house and bothering me yeah, but I don't go outside with a fly swatter and bug spray killing everything. Plus i'm really scared of bugs!!

  2. Some orthodox Jains wear facemasks to prevent themselves from breathing in bugs and smaller organisms and thus killing them. I don't know how effective this tactic is.

  3. Being a v/v doesn't stop you from defending your self, your family, or your home from biting and or disease carrying bugs.

If I caught you outside killing ants with a magnifying glass, that were not pestering you, I'd say your not a very good vegetarian and definitely not a vegan.

  4. I'm vegetarian, and I kill bugs all of the time. I've been waking up with spider bites, so I think there's a spider in my house somewhere...yikes. If I find it, it will be dead.

  5. OK as long as you're not going to eat them ... not OK as they are natures creatures and, in most environments, are a valuable part of our ecosystem.  (ex-vegetarian)

  6. I am vegan and I rarely kill any bugs.  I will set out ant traps in my kitchen if I ever need to.  I will treat my children for head lice if that issue ever comes up.  I would also treat crabs or anything like that, not that I plan on getting them:)

My husband doesn't even kill flies... He catches them and releases them outside.  I think I would still kill a fly if it kept landing on me, but I would try to lure it out of the area if at all possible.

We have lots of spiders in our area and we don't kill them either.  We just put them outside when they show up in the house.  Our porch is covered with them because they just build a web where we put them.  Oh well...we don't have a problem with moths or anything...The spiders eat them. lol.

When it comes to mice or other animals I would set live traps for them.  If they ever came up with live traps for insects and bugs I would use those too...but to my knowledge they don't exist.

  7. Sorry to say that I do.

In fact, sometimes there are bugs on our vegetables and we do wash them off or kill them when we cook them.

I kill fleas for my dog.

Before I don't kill spider when I saw them in my house.  After a while, there are webs everywhere, and I can see little  baby spiders, too.  So I did the room spray.

  8. As long as you don't eat them.

  9. Everyone is different.  It's not supposed to be about following some "rules" imposed from the outside.

I try to avoid killing things as much as possible, but if there are ants in my kitchen, I'm sorry to say that they have to die.

But I avoid spiders if they avoid me.

  10. just bc ur a vegan or vegitarian doesnnt mean u cant kill bugs... my best friend is a vegitarian and she kills bugs. its not like a religion rule or sum...

  11. I don't kill bugs on purpose.  PETA sells this awesome bug catcher than works really well, it has a sliding door, and you never have to touch them.  I just put them outside if it's warm enough.

  12. I am a Buddhist as well as a vegan. Buddha told us not to harm any living creature.
