    A virus can easily damage the information stored on your laptop.

  7. it cant physically damage hard disk but it can corrupt the information present in one.

    there is a virus which is called a boot sector virus, this virus gets activated even before the os is loaded....some of these viruses prevents os to load and thus preventing the pc to start
