Can visa gift cards be used on line?

I wanted to subscribe to to insider on ESPN.com but cannot because I am not old enough to own a credit card and my parents wont let me use theres. I just wanted to know if I bought a visa gift card, will I be able to use that as a credit card to subscribe to it, along with the question, would i be able to use a visa gift card to purchase things on ebay?

A visa gift card is basically a prepaid credit card, it should work.

As long as you have a balance on it that covers the price , you would be able to use it for online purchases,,

It can be used as a regular credit card online.  Remember that it has a balance and you'll need to refill it.
