Can vitamins effect the potency of the anti seizure med "keppra" causing one to have a seizure?

    I did not see any thing like that listed at the FDA link above, but it is a new drug.

    There is some evidence that folic acid can decrease the effectiveness of phenytoin (why?), another drug used in seizure disorders. The text I am looking at is rather old.

    95% of  keppra or its metabolite (65% unchanged, the rest hydrolyzed) is eliminated into the urine.

    There are a number of things that can increase the likelyhood of seizures: alcohol use (actually when it has cleared the body, even just small doses), caffeine, flashing lights (or fastly changing images from TV or movies), ect.
