  1. we should protect it by planting more trees.stop deforestation.if the people want they can do it.water is precious dont waste it.keep the country clean

  2. We can save it by stopping cutting down our precious rain forests for one. Trouble is not everyone cares as much as we do.

  3. I think one needs to protect the Planet from the people .

We are not doing so well ,with desertification, deforestation .animal extinction, over fishing the oceans, wasting potable  water, mono culture farming, and polluting the Air, Soils and Waters

We cannot do much any more about Global Warming .

But we can do a lot about not damaging the Environment more, and be more frugal or economic with our Natural resources ,since we get an additional 70 million people every year with an accumulative factor included ,

And we can do a lot about contaminations, especially of the soil,Air and water.

    ECO FRIENDLY BEHAVIOR

The best we can do as individuals is be more responsible ,in our own neck of the woods

Organize well publicized clean up parties ,talk on the radio

    Have citizen meetings

Get the schools involved to plant trees and listen to environmental awareness talks,

If you do any cleaning up leave signs behind saying who cleaned, why and ask people not to start dumping rubbish again ,leave a hole or bins ,in case people come with trash ,

    POSITIVE ACTIONS)

Classify trash take out all the organic waste and make compost with it ,the worst you can do is throw it with the trash

70% of contamination is due to organic waste that is mixed in with the garbage .

And it is just as bad in the sewer where it helps to breed rats and in the landfill it poisons the ground

And it is the easiest to take care of

o first of all we have to classify trash at least keep the organic to one side ,like in a plastic bin with a lid

If you got a few meters of ground ,you only need 1 or 2 square meters in a shallow hole ,in the shade ,that you can wet now and again ,where you dump everything that is organic ,from toilet paper, bones vegetable cuttings ,eggshells,,,excrement ,and cover regularly with leaves to keep humid and to hide any smell

the worms will come and decompose the wastes turning it into beautiful black soil for the garden of flower pots .

If you are in a apartment ,if you have a balcony get a big plastic bin drill some holes in the side and lid ,

Add a few buckets of sand now and again to put over the trash ,you should really stir or move the stuff at times to aerate it and ensure that the decomposition is overall ,keep moist

This rubbish does not get big very fast and the thing works for a long time with out getting full

If you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes

Reduce carbon emissions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, power plants etc.

Water harvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground water flows from the rains into the ground to supply subterranean water supplies.

    The protection of existing forests.

Stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

Education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

    Education on environmental awareness

education on family planning to curb over´population

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

More environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

More dams.regulations and control for public behavior

Alternative efficient public transport to discourage the use of the internal combustion engine

  4. i say yes because if we try to protect this planet then we also think to make it better planet for our mother earth

  5. its sure not to big for us to mess up is it?  Those people who say that the world is too big for us to effect one way or the other are gits.  Sure, the earth was here way before we humans were, and it will be here after we are gone.  the question is what kind of shape will it be for us to live in.  My old house was pretty big, and a couple hundred years old.  It was well taken care of, we lived in it.  I guess we could have beat the heck out of it and abused it, but who wants to live in a beat up old dump?  Just an example, maybe pertinent, maybe not, but ive always believed in cleaning up your own messes and not pooping where you sleep.

Its what seperates us from the animals, along with clothes and the capacity for murder.

  6. Yes, the planet is big, but so is our population. We can do many things to protect the envirinment, and we are even trying. Some people in your answer said that we can't heal it completely, and I agree but we can do so to a ver great extend. And we even are doing, though slower than it should actually be, but Rome wasn't built in a day. I have many 'save environment' measures saved on my PC, and I keep reading them now and then. I'll give you those and you sould too read it, again and again. This will keep reminding you those after some days and eventually you will learn and start following each and every one of them. I also read before anything new i start, so that I know the ways in which I can make my activity eco-friendly and green. I also made a pamphlet and got out copies of it and put it on my school bulletin board. Some students found it funny, some stupid but many sensible. Many even started following some of them. Yes, I had to ask some teachers for it and only after a few days did i get a permission to do what I wanted to, but it was worth it. You can also do this. And here is a list of measures....

    IN YOUR HOME

    1. Recycle everything you can: newspapers, cans, glass bottles and jars, aluminum foil, motor oil, scrap metal, etc.

    2. Don't use electrical appliances for things you can easily do by hand, such as opening cans.

    3. Use cold water in the washer whenever possible.

    4. Re-use brown paper bags to line your trash can instead of plastic bags. Re-use bread bags and the bags you bring your produce home in.

    5. Store food in re-usable containers, instead of plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

    6. Save wire coat hangers and return them to the dry cleaners.

    7. Take unwanted, re-usable items to a charitable organization or thrift shop.

    8. Don't leave water running needlessly.

    9. Turn your heat down, and wear a sweater.

    10. Turn off the lights, TV, or other electrical appliances when you are out of a room.

    11. Flush the toilet less often. (If you cut flushing in half, you'll save up to 16.5 gallons a day.)

    12. Turn down the heat and turn off the water heater before you leave for vacation.

    13. Recycle your Christmas Tree.

    IN YOUR YARD

    14. Start a compost pile.

    15. Put up birdfeeders, birdhouses, and birdbaths.

    16. Pull weeds instead of using herbicides.

    17. Use only organic fertilizers. (They are still the best.)

    18. Compost your leaves and yard debris, or take them to a yard debris recycler. (Burning them creates air pollution, and putting them out with the trash wastes landfill space.)

    19. Take extra plastic and rubber pots back to the nursery.

    20. Plant short, dense shrubs close to your home's foundation to help insulate your home against cold.

    21. Use mulch to conserve water in your garden.

    IN YOUR CAR

    22. Keep your car tuned up.

    23. Carpool, if possible.

    24. Use public transport whenever possible.

    25. On weekends, ride your bike or walk instead.

    26. Buy a more fuel-efficient model (such as a hybrid or electric) when you're ready for a new car.

    27. Recycle your engine oil.

    28. Keep your tires properly inflated to save gas.

    29. Keep your wheels properly aligned to save your tires. (It's safer too.)

    30. Don't litter our roads and highways. Save trash and dispose of it at a rest stop.

    AT YOUR BUSINESS

    31. Recycle office and computer paper, cardboard, etc. whenever possible.

    32. Use scrap paper for informal notes to yourself and others.

    33. Print or copy on both sides of the paper.

    34. Use smaller paper for smaller memos.

    35. Re-use manila envelopes and file folders.

    36. Hide the throw-away cups, and train people to use their washable coffee mugs. Use washable mugs for meetings too.

    WHEN YOU'RE SHOPPING

    37. Avoid buying food or household products in plastic or styrofoam containers whenever possible. (They cannot be recycled and do not break down in the environment.)

    38. Think twice about buying "disposable" products. (They really aren't disposable and are extravagant wastes of the world's resources.)

    39. Buy paper products instead of plastic if you must buy "disposables." They break down better in the environment and don't deplete the ozone layer as much.

    40. Check the energy rating of major appliances you purchase. Buy only the most-energy-efficient models.

    41. Ask questions. Don't buy products, such as styrofoam, that are hazardous to the environment or manufactured at the expense of important habitats such as rain forests.

    42. Buy locally grown food and locally made products when possible.

    43. Don't buy products made from endangered animals.

    PERSONAL EFFORTS

    44. Join a conservation organization. Browse to find an environmental organization you would like to support.

    45. Volunteer your time to conservation projects.

    46. Give money to conservation projects.

    47. Switch to a vegetarian diet. (Raising animals for food consumes vast quantities of natural resources, including water, land, and oil; destroys habitats; and generates a tremendous amount of water and air pollution.)

    48. Conserve by example. Encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to save resources too.

    49. Learn about conservation issues in your community or state. Write your legislators and let them know where you stand on the issues.

    50. Teach children to respect nature and the environment. Take them on hikes or camping. Help them plant a tree or build a birdhouse. Teach them by example.

  7. bit late to compleatly heal it im afraid, weve made a right hash of it. but i think the earth once weve managed to obliterate ourselves with wars ect will go back to an eden state. God is always in control and i dont think this earth was made in its present state to last forever anyway. but i still think we are stewards and have to take care of it whilst we have it.

  8. Everyone can protect the world if we ......

Stop littering, recycle, plant more trees / flowers / , and etc.

  9. hey.........hi we humans arethe most evolved form of life on the planet earth........and i suppose we are the ones who can and have thhe responibility of making the world a better plaace to live in........as i need not to say nothing can be rated impossible so its not far its not big to get a clean and safe earth to live in.

  10. people are to lazy to save themselves..

its sad...i think if we wanted we could....but were to concerned with money

  11. What the planet does is mostly dictated by what we do to the planet, and even when the planet does something ie. earthquakes we can predict it with our knowledge. Well I guess we won't be able to change everything but we can start by trying. Trouble is not enough people are convinced that global warming is a problem to them. (can't argue with that.)

  12. Protect it from what exactly?

  13. Humans have the most creative & complex minds...which gives us the best tool to use to solve such problems.  As we have created many problems we can also solve them as well.

Each individual can take steps to change their own environment--when many take these small steps-great changes can happen.

We need to change the way we look  & live in our enviroment-living with it instead of against it.

When people think of going "GREEN" then sometimes think they need to get solar panels etc...or just recycle food cans etc... but a lot forget about steps like-shopping for holidays & birthday at "GREE Stores" , using recycled gift bags etc...instead of brand new wrapping paper. It's simple things that we don't do...that if we do could help a lot!

Check out these stores for your next holiday or birthday gift:

  14. we can but we wont.

  15. Don't know, go on some Environmental Website.  I'm sure they'll have a big list of things you could do as one person to help.

  16. Stop polluting the earth and the waters.

  17. we are tiny specs on a massive planet, there is nothing we can do to prevent anything the planet does or ever will do....

  18. I don't think so.

  19. The world is in the US's,China's and Russia's hand! If one of them start to fight with each other! Believe me the world will be nothing!!!

  20. The planet is not too big for us.. the world's population is growing increasing amazingly, and poverty  and pollution go in hand.... As a simple individual we can start by saving water,  caring about CO2 emmisions and some other little things...

  21. orrrrrr   the planet can protect itself..  It has been through so much more than we have, why do people forget this?  What protection does it need?  Its a giant freaking rock hurling through space.  Sometimes the surface spews molten rock, sometimes large space rocks crash into it...   Looks like we are the ones who need the protection.
