Can we all just agree to not try to elevate either guy after last nights fight?

Hopkins was terrible and dirty, all he did was drop his head, lunge and throw one punch at a time - do you ever think you would hear Hagler, Monzon, Robinson, or any other great middleweight claim that he won a fight because he was patient, and won enough rounds "here and there" to get a decision (I won't even disgrace any great middleweight by referring to the "low blow")

No one can honestly believe Joe Calzaghe is anything but ordinary - Hopkins was clearly stronger and more skilled - I personally do not equate the "power shots" Lampley kept using to justify Calzaghe's slaps as effective as powerful shots.

Do any of his fans think that if he met the 168 pound version of Roy Jones he wouldn't have left on a stretcher? He is simply NOT the greatest super-middleweight of all-time.

Yes it was a disappointing fight- yet noone really is all that surprised or disappointed. Calzaghe is a sloppy fighter. Hopkins is a fighter whose abilities we seem to think more highly of than reality showed tonight. But end of the day it was two highly regarded, highly ranked fighters, matched up; and clearly, history, will be the only judge that, truly, matters, tonight.

If Hopkins hadn't cheated, Calzaghe would have knocked him out!

Calzaghe- ordinary? If you say so, that's your opinion.

In my opinion, a fighter who defends his title for over 10 years is not ordinary. But then your the expert, i'm just ordinary.

sounds like sour grapes to me mate..never mind when he comes back over to beat the next one you will struggle to knock him

I think this fight was a draw and maybe a Calzaghe split decision. In their primes Hopkins would get a Ud and RJJ would definitey KO the Brit at 168.

Right now i think RJJ would beat Calzaghe but it would be a dangerous fight. RJJ does have  a glass jaw still.
