Can we be honest? How many have gotten pregnant or had daughters pregnant without marriage?

Just a poll, and could you please state whether liberal or conservative. I'm conservative and will answer yes.

Many young women have gotten pregnant without being married.  The issue is that with Palin's 17 year old daughter being approx. 7 months pregnant right at the RNC convention, this may be a very tough pill for the far right religious conservatives to swallow.  There will be questions raised about McCain's judgment.  His campaign will have to work really hard to sell his decision to this part of his base.

I would not be surprise if the most radical part if this constituency, would say she wasn't paying enough attention to her family.

I can tell you that I didn't get pregnant until after high school, after college or until I had a good job and met my husband.  I thought that was the right thing to do.  For a 17 year old to get pregnant in this day and age is just ridiculous.  I guess her parents were too busy pursuing their passions and didn't take enough time to talk to their kids.

The point is conservatives have made teenage pregnancy sound like something that only happens to girls with no caring parents who are out drinking, doing drugs,and fornicating all over the place.

This isn't something that happens to good little conservative families.

It's not that the girl is pregnant  it's that the neocons are so judgemental and degrading to others and run on moral values like nobody else has any.

First of all, so many of these responses are ridiculous.  Just because someone is liberal doesn't make them automatically go get an abortion.  My mother had me at 16, as the result of a rape.  Although I cannot say I wish she had an abortion, it took me until I was about 22 to get over the fact that I was the product of hate.  Its a thin line and it should ultimately be left up to the woman to decide.  My mom made her decision, and I am grateful now, but I was raised by my Grandparents mostly due to the fact that she couldn't look at me without seeing his face. There is a spin nobody thinks about when throwing around anti-abortion propaganda.  The question is not just of life, but the quality of the child's life you are trying to save.

ANGLES 08 I would definitely take my 13 year old daughter to get an abortion if she were to get pregnant. I refuse to have her life messed up because two people (f**king including the boy) made a mistake. But I know that wouldn't happen because she's not stupid.  Yeah sure someday she will have s*x but I have taught her the value of making sure that protection is used not just because of pregnancy but because of disease.  

None of my family have gotten pregnant without marriage.  So the answer is NO and Liberal

Since I got pregnant out of wedlock when I was 17 I guess all the liberals are going to tell me I am going to burn in HEII for an eternity!!

My  two brothers  both had children out of wedlock, with their girlfriends.  It's not right,  but it happens even in the best of families.  You make the best of the situation and love the children,  because it's not their fault.

I did, but in hindsight it was not a wise choice. I love my daughter more than anything in the world, but that does not mean my actions were smart. I would hope our politicians would be wiser than I was. There is a reason I am not the vp.

The bigger question is that if someone can't guide their children how can they guide our country.
