Can we carry Asthi inside the flight?

Asthi is a clay pot which contains tangible remains of the funeral fire i.e the bones. We need to carry the sacred pot to perform the 11th day ceremony and rituals in the sacred place in the river bed. It is to be noted that the pot should not break during transit and it should not be placed unattended also. Is it possible to take this in the cabin with any special permissions if required. If so how?

We need to travel from Hyderabad to Coimbatore on 1st or 2nd June 2008 depending on the ticket availability. The ceremony is on June 3rd 2007 early morning.

yes, u can carry the same in your had, as hand baggage.

You just need to inform officials and they will arrange all things. You dont need to carry in your hands though. But indeed it can go along with you in flight.
