Can we carry the following things in flight? My friend who is travelling to US is refusing to carry these.?

why wouldnt you be able to take that? Im sure you can but you should bury the pickle under some clothes because since its a live fruit they will confescate it.

As long as the pickles are factory sealed they should be OK. I have never heard of pickles being confiscated, only fresh fruit and veggies. CDs are not a problem. Spices, once again factory sealed should be fine.

You can take all the things with you. The condition is they should be packed properly and labelled.  One should be able to answer the questions related to that such as what it is? what are the ingredients of that food? The pickle does not contain any live material so it can be taken. CDs also can be carried. About spices, they should not be whole spices they should be powdered eg. cardamom, mustard, etc. In some areas like California seeds from outside are totally banned.

why not? but do get the pickles packed in good plastic bags. there are some people specially to get it done. spices also can be taken without any problem as are cd's....only thing is that ur friend should have enough space as there are weight restrictions on the luggage

CD's are fine. As for food goods you will want to ship those. Not bring them on the flight. Certain spices and food's should not go in thier luggage.

I'm from California and live in England. There are alot of foods I miss and I have my mom ship them out to me.

You can not take any foods that have not been processed and CANNED.  If you try to sneak some banned product it can get you a personal interview in a private office with some customs officer wearing rubber exam gloves.

You cant send pickles I think. Cause you cant send fruit or veggies. CD's should be fine. And i dont know about spices.
