  1. you can catch it with your cap if you want, I actually witnessed a line drive hit right into the "chub rub" (area between the knee and crotch) of an overweight employee and the ball stuck there between his legs and the batter was out.

    funniest thing I ever seen....seriously.

  2. yes its legal to play bare handed  but why would you want too

  3. you can probably catch it without a glove I dont think its mandatory, just common sense, because I've caught a baseball without a glove and that **** hurts!

  4. it really doesn't matter as long as you catch the ball, same goes for baseball, but i wouldn't recommend it because it WILL sting

  5. You can catch a softball with your bare hands.  You can catch a baseball with your bare hand as well.  Kevin Mitchell did it in the NLCS for the Giants back in the late 80's.

In Chicago though we play 16" softball and nobody wears a glove. The game is played bare handed.

  6. Barehands are legal, just dont break nothing!

  7. I was poor when I was young and couldn't afford a glove.  Played barehanded.  If you do that, try to remember proper form and catch as if you had a glove on.  That way  if you ever play hard ball and you wear a glove you won't instinctively grab for the ball barehanded.  that can smart
