In Excel go to   Data  >  Import External Data  >  Import Data

yes it can be easily exported to excel (from any format .dat or csv or text any.....) for complete view of your data from database.

i would like to know your database type wether MS Access or My SQL or Oracle ...........the methods of exporting are little different for each of them.......

please let me know for complete help
