Nope.  It takes a comprehensive energy plan to do that.

By the way, Obama talked about several aspects of his energy plan when he said that.  The McCain campaign is trying to deceive people by picking out this one thing, and trying to make people believe that's ALL he said.

No, such actions in isolation won't solve the problem.

However, the attitude that everything matters can solve the problem.  This includes things like infalting your tires right, getting insulation and efficient appliances, recycling.

I've heard it said that if all the states in the US conserved enegy the way the top 5 have since year 2000, we would need to import zero oil today.  So I think there is a solution through conservation.  Finding more oil would only delay the ultimate energy crisis, and would make global warming worse.  Most people do not conserve until it hits their pocketbook.

There is no man-made global warming. You might save yourself a few gallons of gas a year if you make sure your tires are properly inflated. You could also save gas ifyou have 0 percent body fat.

YES, if EVERYONE inflates their tires so much, that they pop, no one could drive. This would end pollution caused by cars.

No, thats a very small factor that wold barely slow it down, but we are still be burning fossil fuels, just slightly more efficiently.

No, we can not end global warming. It's a natural cycle that we have no control over, but keeping our tires properly inflated should help us get a few extra miles out of a tank of gas and reduce pollution.

If we would just give our cars the regular maintenence they need, everything in the universe would finally be in sync.  We would all live in harmony with the birds and the beasts.  And all fears of the internal combustion engine would be replaced with respect.
