Can we end poverty, homelessness, and starvation in the world? How?

Question

For example, seperate the food, housing, medicine, and housing from the capitalist economy, declare them human rights, and provide these necessities for all. These industries can keep property and luxury equivalents in the economy, but they will be available as general services to all. There would easily be enough food, considering the hoarding and no-grow policies that keep food as a valuable commodity through availability controls. < (Just an undeveloped idea)

Please explain your ideas and/or alternatives in addressing this problem. Thanks.

The only pitfall in your idea is that if we provide the necessities of life to everyone, then people tend to lose their incentive to work diligently.

Communism seemed like a monumental social theory on paper.  However, in practice, most lost their will to excel.  They tended to accept the minimum because extra diligence wasn&#039;t rewarded at the individual level.

A good example is the plight of the Cuban people.  They are now so accepting of existing rather than excelling, that they currently don&#039;t have the will to turn to a free market system which would not provide them universal subsistence.

My mantra is equal opportunity, rather than mindless entitlement.

I say that if we ever tried to get rid of &quot;world hunger&quot; we would be wasting are time, because  the reason half the people in the world (like the ones in India) can eat stuff thats good for them because it could be there poor grandma, because when God made us he didnt intend for us to only eat veggies and I know that because my grandpa only ate that for 1year and turned yellow literally so we have to have meat and veggies. so the idea should stay a idea, other wise we will be turning the world into a on world government and thats not a good idea believe me

Thanks for the Good question at the right time, the only solution for this question is proper education, without  feeding them for the rest of their life,The wise move can make by our government is to spent much for now for teaching people to discover hidden treasures within them self than feeding them forever,creating project for those people who  cannot help them self. The aim is to give them skill,knowledge and experience,even our self we must take part to offer little as we can,but realist approach we can, only if people are willing to change their life&#039;s internally, then our nation will shine with light of knowledge than living in shadow of darkness.and charity begin at home. Least but not last, the secrete of finding the best moment of your life is to find your own best battle field
