Can we get an sponsorship visa while we have a tourist visa in wa au?

i have a sister who is living in wa from jan on a subclass 136 visa we are out on a tourist visa and would like to stay if we could get somone to sponsor us my husband has a skilled trade. what are the chances of getting someone to sponsor us. my sister cant ontill she is here one year...please help ans my question.

no on a tourist visa you can not apply to stay from within Australia, you have to apply to immigrate from your home country,and pass the points test to qualify.

this process can take a long time and there are many people waiting ,you must be a skilled worker in a field Australia needs

yes you can apply for one if its states on her visa that she can apply for another visa while she is in the country. but she will need to get a sponsor first. because the reason why that i know about this . i am doing one for myself at the moment.also have a look at this website for more info infohttp://www.immi.gov.au/immigration.htm. and also i think you can for a working holiday Visa as well because you wont get sponsored on a tourist visa. hope this as help. good luck

you can't lodge this kind of application here in Australia. You will need to return home and start your lodgement there as you have to meet a points criteria first of all. Sponsorship requires a family member with a great deal of money who could afford to keep you until your visa came through which can take up to 3-5yrs. pls check Dept Immigration's web-site for more details.
