Question:

Can we have classic my.yahoo.com page back?

Classic "my.yahoo.com" was simpler and far superior to the new one. I have repeatedly sent my comments to you over the past years stating that the new design DEGREGADES PERFORMANCE. REFRESHING has become a NIGHTMARE! This is not a desireable customer care & service. I know I am not alone. Many users are complaining about the new design. I don't even see anything new of value in it. Please get rid of the new design and return the old one. Thank you , AZ

  1. I agree. I'm not one to complain, but the new MyYahoo is COSTING me money, wasting my time and killing my carpal tunnel.

Please see my blog for detailed info about all the problems.

As a pure feedreader the OLD MyYahoo was the best I could find for what I need. PLEASE PLEASE give us the option of going back to our old MyYahoo page.

I'm a pro Internet user who lives and works online, so it's not like I'm a technophobe that can't learn something new.

Hardly any of my feeds load at all, the ones that do have the wrong settings.

If we are stuck with the new one, here are 2 things that really need to be fixed.

    1)  Blog Entry titles:  Need to be bold and a different color than the summary.  Try adding a bunch of blogs, with summary.  Then try scanning through headlines, it's too hard because the titles blend in and don't stand out.  Better yet give us the ability to change title font so we can make it stand out the way we like.

    2) BACK - need to jump to where you last were on the page:  can't remember what it's called.  But I may be 5 screens down in all the feeds I scan. Click to go read.  Then when I go back to MyYahoo it doesn't remember where I was at. I have to scroll and scroll and try to figure out what I've read, what I haven't and where I was. The old MY took you back the exact spot on the page you left.

And again most of my feeds aren't working and lost settings. I wasted half a day and still can't work with it.

    --------------------------------------...

ADDED LATER: Found out how to export all MY Yahoo feeds OUT of Yahoo and into Google reader. Didn't want to, but they left me no choice.

iGoogle doesn't do what I need but Google reader is close.

Here's how to export your MyYahoo feeds so you can take them wherever you move to. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=2...

Hope this helps and best of luck!

  2. I AGREE 100%. I also have sent dozens of emails echoing the exact sentiments this user has articulated.

To the originator of this question and all who read this response, if YAHOO developers refuse to listen and respond swiftly, I suggest you try "iGOOGLE".  It is easy to set up, richer in content and flexibility, and I am growing to like it much better than anything YAHOO has to offer.

Note to YAHOO developers and marketing department. I did not go "hunting" for a GOOGLE solution. You drove me there.

  3. yahoo have changed everyone to their new home page by stealth, your old home page is now not recognised by the server so your wasting your time trying to get it back again, it like a new marriage, we are stuck with it for better or worse

  4. with all the things happening today and all the tech advances then the web has to be updated to fit the needs for the next generation or someinthg like that, I dont know i liked the old one to

  5. I totally agree with you!!  I hate the new page too.

  6. I totally agree! I cant set this new page as the default for my home page. After setting it through internet options, It points to the "New Yahoo Page" and I have to sign in every time to get my home page.

Give us the option to use the old page for those of us who prefer it.

  7. You can't go back to the former My Yahoo because Yahoo moved everybody to their new supposedly improved version and turned off the old one.

I agree that it's uglier and has fewer formatting choices.  Let the My Yahoo team know about your unhappiness, and be SPECIFIC about the issues, at this page:
