  1. As a country, yes.  We would just input all our food.  As a planet, yes.  Our species can still live because it would have to hunt, but agriculture is a major food source.  We wouldn't be where we are today without it.  Many people would die if it suddenly gonne poof.  Civilization wouldn't exsist without too.

  2. Since most of human foods are  from plant origin , man kind is dependent on agriculture to produce plants which inturn provide food source as grain, fruits, roots, leaves, steam, seeds , oils, fibres as well as  fragrances, medicines etc. As population grows, agricultural productivity  is also required to grow for its sustenance since cultivable soil is limited . But development in agriculture again depends on technology utilised for it .

  3. If we could just get back to small local farms and not big conglomerates growing unhealthy food we would all be better off.  Commercial agricultural will be the downfall of mankind.

  4. No...Not too long.

More & More cities are Appearing Agriculture Land is reducing its volume  & population is increasing day by day...

So  we cannot live without any development in Agriculture.

  5. Yes, if we stuck with doing the right thing, but there is more than just living, which is why we are here today. Also, we still have a lot to learn about agriculture here, let alone what we will need to know to move from here, to space and to other worlds. There is a lot to know that we don't, and we shouldn't be happy with just enough to get by. It ain't in us.

  6. Yes, and No,

until the 1940's &1950's all produce was what we now call 'organic' because synthetic fertilizers were not readily available. This has in some opinions decreases the quality of foods we eat these days, but has been an incredible money and labor saver for farmers. so yes it is possible to subsist without further technologies, but with the rising cost of fuel and labor, technologies seem to be one of the few ways farmers can still survive merely by their farms.

  7. no not at all.

  8. Supply and demand!
