Can we love our spouse as much as we love our neighbor?

Question

If God is love and He says "Love your neighbor as you love yourself".

That leaves me only one thing I can think of that I will do for my spouse but cannot do for my neighbor, and we are all mature adults to know what that is so let leave that part out. I believe that we should have know problem loving each other the same, spouse and all. What do you believe?
