Can we make spider web based armor?

you probably know that spider silk is 5 times stronger than steel, is cheap, and twice as strong as kelvar armor. So is it possible, even if it takes a long time, to make a bullet proof and extremely lightweight armor out of it?

It is already in the process of experimentation, and has been the subject of scientists for years now.

You probably wouldnt be able to get the spiders to follow the design you wanted. And even then it would probably be a little hard to handle unless you could somehow neutralize its stickiness
