  1. yes you can. you must go to the closest houseing department for your area. speak to an advisor. they will give you forms to fill out. you must however be living at the property you are now for a cirtain amount of time and as you are both retirement age and your husband has problems then you will be classed as a higher catagory. there may be a waiting period. and they may even suggest a warden controlled property. and some areas are run by council and have lovely gardens and settings. i hope you will be successful.

  2. I'm sorry, but your question is very confusing. Are you considering relocating to a long term care facility? Is there a housing association in your area that provides assistance for housing remodeling? I'm not sure what you are asking.

Many states have Medicare and Medicaid programs that can provide assistance with home care services. In fact, several states are creating initiatives to help people remain in their homes longer so they are loosening up their restrictions on this money. It's possible the state can help you with a chair lift for your stairs or help pay for a homecare aide to come into your home and help your husband monitor his heart failure and blood pressure.

You can contact your state's health department to find out who you should speak with about your options. Or contact your state's homecare assocation.

Another resource you could use is a local senior center or if your state has something like an Area Agency on Aging. The people there would have information about programs available and what kind of resources that are available to you.
