  1. language is the only thing that CAN measure these things

  2. It is so alas, that foreigners speaking in an alien tongue are considered less than brilliant because their lack of mastery in speaking a particular tongue indigenous to their host land.

Natives tend to presuppose a lower intelligence and thereby race, sounds incredibly silly, but woefully true. . .

  3. yeah its is most easy thing of all intelligence..what you need is to do math do math and od math..thats it no matter which lan you use..hehehehehehe... like simple math is my bros law in wife is come here ..that ***** wil ruin my simple existance...simple existance..that i have..

and by math..I really Thanks Your Break aka Back Support in Australia. And Thanks For Lovely Dream That you saw. I herbaly Enjoy it seeing Your Enjoument in my Fake Amusements...lolz..

  4. Interesting question.  There has long existed the debate about whether language drives thought or thought drives language.  A bit similar to whether men make history or history makes men. Noam Chomsky's theory of "universal grammar" innate in humans is widely received, if not proven.  Meaningful speech, which cannot be distinguished from language, does seem to emerge where groups of children, when largely isolated, have developed their own languages.  So, your question may really be, "can we reach extremely high intelligence levels without the current limitations of the human brain?"  Many believe we are still evolving.  We may indeed evolve to a point where we communicate telepathically and do so with communicated "feelings" rather than words.  Maybe that will be a form of higher intellect as well.

  5. i think we are a very intelligent species but we do not have or we do not learn enough vocabulary to express ourselves accurately and explicitly.

Imagine if we increased our vocabulary a thousand folds.

currently a high school student needs to know around 30,000 base words (i am just guessing) to score well on SAT.

Imagine if we had capacity to know 3 million words precisely!

And imagine if all the 6 billion people knew all these words accurately to communicate among themselves.

Everybody would be capable to be a historian, architect, chemist, doctor, engineer, lawyer, art critic (music, food, fashion, literature etc.,), administrator and so on.

Now that I would call extremely high intelligence levels. With the help of the internet, I am sure it is possible in the next couple of 1000 years.

    Enjoy

  6. Intelligence is not linke to the ability to express one's brilliance (or lack thereof). However, as has been illuded to; it's quite difficult to measure the intelligence without communicaation.

  7. Indubitably.

Language is a manifestation of intelligence.

  8. Intelligence is manifested from the application of the total amount of knowledge we gain from learning, which comes from sharing, which is facilitated by communication.

There is a great potential for human kind to reach those higher intelligence levels, but the enormity of the knowledge gained under such a situation would not be much advanced than what human kind has achieved today.

Intelligence is measured by how much we know.

what we know is only what is available in nature, from the atoms and molecules to everything else pertaining to science or the human body.

we have not learnt or created anything beyond that.

God created the heavens and the earth, mankind can only find out how much the Creator allows us to find out, because He owns everything including us.

"Knowledge will spread to farthest corners of the earth in the last days."

this is a passage from the bible.

Which is a valid explanation as to why we get to see such a phenomenal growth in science, medicine, transport, military and communications technology today as opposed to 100 years ago and the rest of history.

So to end with your question in focus, i would say that a higher intelligence level is not possible. We are more foolish than wise, in a deeper sense.

  9. Yes, next question

  10. Without language, there is no means of communicating what you have learn and learning what others have learned.  We have the current intelligence levels BECAUSE of the 'barriers' of language.

  11. Language is not the barrier.  It's the extent to which our apprehension is constrained by physicality and our use of metaphor to woefully attempt an understanding of it.

  12. most higher disciplines have their own language...

  13. you could take obama,s advise when he said maybe we should all learn spanish

  14. I've wondered the same thing. Also, how could you measure it without language?

  15. Interesting question. I have sat here and thought about some aspects pertaining to this question. To think of intelligence it is the ability to think, compute, reason, memorize (etc) and I feel intelligence goes in hand with language. How can one think inside their mind without understanding and using a language? How can one express their thoughts without using language? I believe if you at least have skills in one particular language, then you can advance and use your intelligence to a higher level. Take Einstein for example, he was a genius and yet he did not have the ability to speak and read all languages.

Intelligence in itself is not required within language because you are speaking of nature (genetics) and nurture (enviroment). Yet, to increase and stabilize intelligence one would need to have a skill in language, therefore intelligence is not based upon language, but language and intelligence go hand and hand.

  16. Intelligence has nothing to do with languages, but surely the channels of communication really helps.

  17. Not if you're American. For the rest of us language knows no barriers.
