Can we reduce gas prices by restricting and penalizing US based oil producers?

Of course most of the worlds oil is produced by other nations such as Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iran and Venezuela, all which are nationalized and controlled by those countries governments. But does it help us here in the US to villianize, penalize and restrict our own businesses?

  1. What the left is unwilling to acknowledge is that there is nothing big about "big oil".  94% of the world's oil supply is owned by governments, only 6% is "big oil", i.e. available for anyone willing to work and buy a share.


  2. It helps the majority to regulate big oil, it helps the wealthy minority not to. Not regulating the industry of a vital commodity is like telling the wolf he is the protector of the chicken coup.
