  1. Not by electrolysis, you can't make energy like that.

When you break water apart you lose about 34% of the energy you put in. Then you burn it in a engine and you lose about 70+% of the energy you put, then you lose at least 10% making the electricty to break the water apart.

So if you start with 100 units of electricty on the first step you're down to 66 unit, then you burn the hydrogen and that brings you down to about 20 units then you make electricity and that bring you down to 18 units at no point did you get back more power or units than you started with sorry but it just don't work.

  2. Well, I have seen some websites that sell books that show how you can convert your car to be a hybrid water and gas car but, I don't know if it is a Hoax or really works. Usually you have to spend between 50 and 100 for the instructions.

  3. No. in order for it to work the h2o gas engine would have to produce more power than you would get from splitting the molecular bonds. in other words you would have to generate more energy to split the h2o than you would get back when you burned it in the engine. you get less energy out what you put in. you would have to separate the h2o first at a fuel station and then compress it into tanks on the car.

good luck what ever you build.

  4. I do not think an electrolysis tank can produce enough hydrogen.  (That's why don't use it now.)

If you can find a way to produce enough hidrogen from an electrolysis tank, you might have found that life changing invention.

  5. i always ask myself that q? but i don't think theres any combustion or like the fire that makes it a car run no I'm guess theres maybe other sources

  6. There is equipment being installed in cars that separates water into Hydrogen and Oxygen and then uses the Hydrogen to provide partial power to the engine + the regular gasoline you use.  The car has to be converted to use this equipment.  You just fill up the water bottle with water and the equipment that has been installed makes the conversion.  This way, you would use a lot less gas - they say something like 40%.  This equipment is very new and hasn't totally been proven yet, but it's being installed and used today.  I understand the water bottle is like about a liter or 2 liters in size.

  7. Yes, there are a number of patents being reviewed right now.  There is a guy in japan that is driving around in one.  I saw it on a video of him using it during traffic and everything.  It uses electrolysis to produce the hydrogen and oxygen as needed to run the car and not store large amounts of it in a tank, thus making it safe.  The man claims any kind of water, even urine would work.

An american inventor has been driving his Ford Taurus around for years using the same idea, the military is currently testing it.

I have this link here: http://www.popularmechanics.com/automoti...

  8. no ways,it will

    produse too much smoke

  9. don't you think we will need electricity for electrolysis. and a car battery won't do that for long, rite?

so i think technically it is next to impossible...but yes, i think if we run the car by solar power during day, and battery during nite (for electrolysis purpose)....it will be a nobel prize winning idea!!! :D

  10. Yes, but where do you store all the electricity to drive the electrolysis?  And by the way, why would you want to convert electricity to hydrogen and then run the car on hydrogen?  Why don't you just run the car on the electricity?

  11. by electrolysis process you will get hydrogen but for electrolysis process you required electric supply for that you have to go for other sources so i think this process can't be use for drivr the car and also by electrolysis process you don't get enough supply of hydrogen so it is not possibal

  12. It would take a huge amount of water and lots of very expensive equipment.  At the current rates it would increase the price of your car several times and provide less room for you and your stuff.

  13. Won't work.

The hydrogen will require more energy to split by electrolysis than you can get back by burning it (or reacting it in a fuel cell) so it can't possibly work.

Read up on the laws of thermodynamics.

  14. Isnt that what hydrogen cars do? idk...They have them in Japan right now and are going to come out with them in the US in a couple of years...

  15. Well, we CAN, but I don't think the technology is safe and reliable, nor is it small enough to fit in a car. At least thats my assumption.

  16. yes, plus you'd fill up your fuel tank with twice the energy required to run the car.  This means it would cost twice as much to run as compared to a regular propulsion system.

  17. If your battery is large enough U could untill the battery went dead. In each step there is about at least 40% loss in energy...

  18. yes its reality cars are running on hydrogen, electricity, sunlight.
