  1. No, it will be night before the shadow can reach Singapore.

    No part of Friday's eclipse can be seen at Singapore.  The southern edge of the eclipse runs across central Malaysia, approximately over Kuala Lumpur.

    If you drove north to Penang, you could see about 10% of the solar disc covered at George Town.  The same if you went to far western Sumatra.  The nearest place people can see the total eclipse is at Xian, China.
