  1. There is no 'edge'. Any point in space can be considered the center of the Universe. The cosmic microwave background radiation is what remains of the first burst of light energy, some years after the Big Bang (what's 300,000 years compared to 13.7 billion?).

  3. No. All that's left is the microwave background radition signature that has since decayed away from the original explosion. That being said, it's a very pretty picture.
