  1. No air is easy.  Just need a suitably powerful vacuum pump.

    No gravity is a problem.  Anything that is "inside" the earth's gravitational field will be affected by that field.

    So far, no one has discoverd or invented "anti-gravity".  The only way to get "low gravity" is to go to the International Space Station.


  2. Yes, the 'no air' is easy.  The hyperbaric chamber is used to help divers decompress but could easily provide a near-vacuum.

    The best tool NASA has for simulating zero-gravity is affectionately known as the Vomet Comet.  But that's an aircraft.  It could carry a hyperbaric chamber.  Or you could airlift one to 40,000 feet above the ocean and drop it, perhaps with a parachute to be deployed at low elevation.

    The only way to actually do it on earth for any length of time is to put a hyperbaric chamber at or near the center of the earth.  An engineering challenge at best.

  3. NASA already has this "room". It's called a swimming pool. They simply make the astronauts (in their space suits) neutrally buoyant in this underwater environment and have a virtual airless/low gravity environment. It is elegant in its' simplicity.

  5. When they want to get something like low gravity without going into space they go up in an aircraft and fly in a parabolic curve like a thrown projectile. Inside the body of the aircraft it feels as though you are weightless because you are following the same path that you would if you had been thrown through the air. Astronauts do it for training and even Stephen Hawking had a go at it recently.
