  1. Not only does it depend on the airline, but also the person at the desk. I was flying London-Beijing where I wasn't seated next to my friend, I asked the check-in person and she said I'd have to ask on the plane, so I asked a lady who gladly swapped with me because she got a seat near one of the exits. However, Beijing-London, they couldn't do more to help me and we were seated in great seats with no problems.

  2. when you get to the airport and check in, you can have the option of making a seat request.  If you check in together you can ask to have seats together, given that there are 2 seats still next to each other they will have no problem with that.  If you are split up, ask someone to switch seats, most people are flexible about that.

    Good luck

  3. call the airline directly.

also, did you book together? they usaully put people booking together next to each other.

if your young (children, or teenagers) have the unaccompanied minor service!

  4. It depends what airline your taking also. Some airlines do let you pick your own seat, others don't. All you have to do is call up the airline and see if there are 2 available seats for the both of you. Sometimes on the plane, you can complain of a backache or something or that you need more room and if there are 2 empty seats, they wouldn't hesitate to give it to you.

  5. Not persay.

You'd get to sit next to each other if no one is sitting in that seat or you can ask the person if you can trade so you can sit together.

Regardless that they don't let you pick your seats when ordering the tickets doesn't mean they'll ask where you'd like to sit when you get to the airport... I fly a lot...I've gone through all sorts of things like that.

  6. you can either call, or when you do the check in at the airport go together, that;s what i do with my sisters, in last case someone is always willing to switch seats
