  1. If I remember right, (and that is a big question mark) Base housing is for active duty military only.

  2. No. Base housing is for active personnel. When he goes through the discharge process, part of it will be the inspection of the housing. Then you move out. Once discharged, you have no business on the base. Many bases will make you turn in all military ID cards.

  3. Nope. If you are living on base, and then your husband leaves the army, you will have to find new housing. If you are renting with the BAH money, then you are fine.

  4. NO!

The day he is OUT of the army is the day you have to be OUT of the house.  Base housing is for military personnel and their families,  not for civilians.

  5. Correct, you will have to move out. That is part of being in the Army is housing or BAH. You will lose that along with other lovely benefits. Good luck. I have seen so many who get out with the school dream, the high paying job and then 6 months later hating life.

  6. No. You won't be able to live there. The Military will not continue giving you BAH, or housing privileges. You will also lose all benefits, like medical and so forth. You will however be able to receive commissary privileges for the next few months.
