congress is at last trying to help us with these high gas prices, can we get in on it??? congress passed a bill to sue opec!!!

It's an election year trick.  You can't sue the law of supply and demand.

The simple fact is, gas is expensive because it comes from oil, and not only is oil getting harder and harder to find, but more people in more countries want to buy it.  China and India, for example, which each have 4 times our population!  Law of supply and demand.  

The weak dollar isn't helping.

that would be nice if it passes or even if we cant get in on it it would be nice to get the price of gas to come down

Yeah, OPEC is really going to do what some judge in Washington DC tells them to.  lol.  This is pretty funny.

its the u.s. companies like exxon making you pay $4 per gallon.  I heared an expert on the radio a few weeks ago who used to work with the big oil companies and he said gas should not be more than $1.60 a gallon, and they would still be making profits.  This $4 per gallon c**p is purely PROFITS.  Exxon makes 10's of billions of dollars in PROFITS PER Q U A R T E R !!!!

If this useless congress cared about you, they should have busted these big oil companies into small little ones to teach them a lesson that you cannot make billions of ******* dollars and hurt the economy on the way!

hahaha! wow, i didn't expect that. it STILL has to pass the senate though, and if history has taught me anything, it's that if one passes it, the other fails it (even if they passed the same thing previously)

and it is sort of a useless gesture. sue them for what? it's americas own fault that they use SO much oil. they fight every alternative energy there is and stays stuck in the stoneage while everyone else flies by.

plus it's probably just a pacifier. our government is 100% in league with OPEC and all the oil companies to make sure they dominate the world

Who has more money the US government or OPEC. Could be a very costly affair.

ikt would be nice.  But OPEC is an orginzation of independent countyies.  It is a usless gesture
