Can we take our Pets Ashes from Cremation with us overseas?

Hi! Hubby and I are Moving from NZ to Australia; just wondered is it ok to take Our Dogs Ashes with us?

I know a lady who brought her husband's ashes back from Europe to Australia.She had a letter from the crematorium stating what was in the container.Normally, it is ok to bring human ashes in so I suppose dog ashes should be ok too.

Check with Customs as with the new laws you may need some sort of sealed container with a certificate to state what you are carrying. I am talking about Airline Policy. If they dont let you,send Registered mail to your New Address.Welcome from across the sea.

i dont know....... you may have to quarantine them for a period when you arrive in oz!........ check with oz and NZ quarantine authorities first!
