We are going on a three night cruise to Bahamas. I wanted to know if we need to pack any snacks (crackers, fruit snacks, etc) for kids to munch on, in cruise and on the two islands we will be or will the Cruise ship have snacks? Thanks for your help.

  1. The answer to your question is yes although you really don't need to. There is so much food on the cruise ship that you can get,  a lot of it 24/7. You can order free room service that has a variety to choose from and there are other places around the ship that you can get a varity of foods from.

If you think your kids will want specific snacks, then I would bring SOME, not a lot but some because cruises have a ton of foods that you can get for free. But then again, if they're picky and you think they would want certain things, you can definitely bring some, there's nothing against it. Same with drinks, I reccomend bringing soda maybe not for the kids but for you because it's very expensive on the ship, and I just think it's better if you bring it for yourself. Same with water if you'd like to bring bottled water or any kind of drinks for you or your kids, excluding alcohol.

Hope this helps & have fun!! (:

  2. u have 24 room service, buffet, and/or a gift shop were they sell candy. You can bring your own but i guarantee you will not need it. Just another messy thing too clean up if spill

  3. You need to check the policy of the cruise line you are taking.  Usually you can take food on the cruise but you are not allowed to take it off of the ship due to maritime laws.

The ship will have plenty of food for you to choose from while you are on the cruise.  You can have fruit delivered to your room daily, or you can visit the buffets which should serve food around the clock.  YOU SHOULD NOT GO HUNGRY WHILE YOU ARE ON THE CRUISE.

  4. Snacks are available and free on cruise ships, but if you want specifics like fruit snacks, crackers, etc,, then I would bring my own or buy those at a port. Some cruise ships have items like that in their gift shop/general store too.

  5. Cruise ships always have free food for you 24 hours a day with the free room service, the places on ship where food is available 24/7,  and then the buffet that is usually open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  They will have fresh fruit, cereal boxes, maybe crackers and lots of things to snack on like sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and soups and salads (so you can get vegetables for snacks).

BUT, if you want chips, popcorn, nuts, and/or certain quick snacks that you kids like to have at home you would be better taking some, but not a lot, of them.  Every ship has a shop where you can purchase things like nuts, candy, chips and a few other things.  But the items are really expensive, and usually not that fresh.

I was actually going to ask this same question myself to see what the opinions were because I love nuts and so generally take a can or two on all of my cruises.  On some of my cruises I have found a store to get my favorite snacks, or to satisfy a craving for popcorn or chips.

So my advice is stick some snacks in a ziplock bag and take them with you.!!!!!!!!!

  6. Don't bother taking anything with you for the kids, you'll be amazed at what you can get at any time of the day or night for snacking on, most cruises even have a midnight desert buffet. Yummy! Your children won't go hungary thats for sure. If you don't have any snacking things for the children already in your Stateroom just ask your room attendant to get something for you they are usually very eager to please ( better tips at the end of the trip) and Please don't forget to tip generously, this is what they work for, and they WILL work ahrd to help make your trip pleasurable

  7. Don't take snacks.  THere is an obscene amount of food on cruises.

  8. We pack a few snacks, but mostly for the air travel. You will have access to so much food that you won't need to eat anything you bring. Room service is included, in case you didn't know it. They have honey roasted peanuts, cereal, sandwiches, soup, maybe even pizza!! If you go on your shore excursions on a full stomach, you'll be fine. Many excursions include a snack. I think you'll be amazed at the food selection on board. Cruise ships are like a floating Golden Corral!!!

The cruise director says the clothes you left at home will shrink while you're gone. It's a side effect of the sea air!!!

    Bon Voyage!!!

  9. First of all, understand that there is a LOT of food available ALL THE TIME on a cruise.  The buffet is open all day long and has fruit, sandwiches, pizza, and so on.  The only consumable item that we packed for our cruises was Coca-Cola.  Those cost $2 or so per glass on a cruise and the cruise lines done mind if you bring your own.  Otherwise, you should be good to go with what is on board.  Save your suitcase space for other things!

  10. While there is no shortage of food available, if your kids have particular favorite snacks, by all means bring them along.  You won't find Gushers or Fruit Roll-ups or Pringles, necessarily, and I know from experience some kids are pretty picky on stuff like that.

  11. your not going to need snacks, trust me, they have it more then covered

  12. I'm going on a 3-night cruise too.. in 2 weeks.. when are u going???

maybe we'll be on the same ship!

And to answer your question i dunno.. but it doesnt matter cuz they have food and snacks out pretty much alll day

  13. Cruise ships have so many snacks and food you are not going to believe it. Some cruise ships like Princess have food 24 hours a day. You do not need to bring snacks.
