Question:

Can we take the vote away from the economically inactive or those without property?

If you are not paying the piper, you should not be allowed to call the tune. The tide has turned; no longer are the upper or middle classes running the country. We, the economically active, are the new slave class. We are working to support the great underclass. Surely this is not just. There is no government capable of turning things to right as we have passed the point of critical mass: the underclass has us outnumbered. The fact is that we are being held hostage by the underclass. Example: A "hoodie" approaches me and wants to steal my watch and wallet. If I fight and injure him he will take me to law. He will have at his disposal the entire legal machine paid for by the public purse. I, on the other hand must fund my own legal costs. This is not right!

  1. Oh dear the trials and tribulations of the new bourgeoisie.

You may think you are "running" the country but doubt you could lace your own boots without outside assistance.

Look on the bright side -  an interesting debating point for your next dinner party

  2. The one thing we should do is remove the right to vote from foreigners. Why should they vote on our matters. Obviously as labour has let them in they will vote for them knowing if any other party got in the gravy train would derail. Let's put a stop to this nonsense now !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Why not just round them up and gas them? Problem solved!

    Idiot!

    Edit:

    May I just add you're a moron!

  4. Should the rich be allowed several votes as they are "paying the piper" more than the average "economically active" person.

  5. You miss the Dark Ages don't you?  If the U.S. had a progressive tax system, a federal government that provided basic human dignity for all U.S. citizens, and an education system that was allowed to teach reproductive responsibility the "hoodies"  would disappear.  Take the vote away from the already disenfranchised and watch them multiply.

  6. 1. Convicted felons lose the right to vote.

    2. If the economic situation of the poor is to change it will never happen if they don't have the vote.

    3. At one time only landowners who were free men could vote in the US.  For census purposes a black slave was counted as 3/5ths of a person.

Are you proposing we return to those archaic standards?  Shame on you!

  7. Of course. It's done all the time.

  8. Rather than take votes away from certain sectors of society I would like to see compulsory voting where every one over the age of 21 is bound by law to vote nd faces court proceedings if they dont comlpy.

  9. The criminal class are a sub culture of anarchy..

  10. We already have.  It's called Congress.

  11. Do you really think that hoodie votes? I think only people who make a certain amount of money should be allowed to vote. Anyone who makes over $300,000 a year should be able to vote. The rest no, they don't deserve to vote.

  12. Simple answer, I totally agree with you.

  13. no its not right, but its a sysytem we ALL live by. for every chav and wastrel you see, theres thousands of good decent kids.

you are not supporting an underclass... there but for the grace of god and all that... we are allowed to seek support from teh state,  its a cradle to the grave deal, like it or not. it undoubtedly bought you into the world and educated you...

as it did your kids, and when the time comes itll treat you, for free, when you also become ¨economically inactive¨

you cant opt out of the best system in the world. its a system for everyone, regardless of personal wealth, position or privelidge... see what you have before wishing it away.

and you dont like the way things are, then get out and VOTE... its THE most powerful tool we have in a free and open democracy. you all see goverment as a thing someone else is responsible for... its US who put them there. and its US who muct accpet responsibility.

sure id like to see certain changes in the law, but its there to protect us, often from ourselves... or would you prefer a return to swords? the law sucks, innocent men aare persecuted for what is basically looking out for themselves, and its WRONG... and castigating the less well offs as an underclass.. believe me, none of them WANT to be on 88 quid a week, at the moment its the best they can get, and it merely panders to an innacurate stereotype...

theres good and bad everywhere, i grew up with skinheads and bovver boys... only the names have changed

  14. Interesting way of looking at things as regards "underclass" . The "Hoddie" example is quite good. I would agree that it does appear that the perpetrator of a crime seems to have everything loaded in their favour.

  15. Id like to do that but we cant...In Starship Troopers,Heinlein postulated that citizenship must be earned by military service..only Veterans could vote...sounds good to me

  16. I see your point to a great extent.

Your right in that if some piece of trash does something wrong we the state have to pay for their legal aid.

Like if a burglar falls on your property he can sue you.I think I'd leave it to his family to sue me for blowing his head off.

Some under class individual tries to take whats yours, u should have the right to defend yourself.

However I dont think the right to vote should be taken from unemployed or economically inactive people as u say as voting is a basic constitutional right and there are lots of reasons why someone might be unemployed.

I do agree criminals should be punished ,not the victims but a convicted criminal should lose all his rights

  17. After all of those who fought to give full rights to everyone, you want to take them away?

How about taking yourself to North Korea for a year and leaving your money home.  See how well you are protected by that Constitution.
